bounce flies high at aaf third district addy awards

When the points were tallied and the judges deliberations completed at the recent 3rd District ADDY Awards in Greensboro, North Carolina, it was Greenville, South Carolina's the bounce agency that came away with the lion's share of the awards.

A total of 17 District ADDYs – 10 Gold, 6 Silver and a Best of Show – were added to the already bursting trophy case at bounce.

"We're thrilled to have so much of our work recognized at the District level," said John McDermott, President and Creative Director at bounce. The agency was recognized at February's AAF Greenville's ADDY® Awards with a total of 31 awards, including two Judges Awards and the Best of Show. Gold and Silver winners at the local level are eligible for entry in the District ADDYs. Similarly, work awarded at the District level is eligible to move on to the National competition. That means bounce will be well represented at the National competition to be held in Washington, D.C. on May 8 and 9. Work for several clients earned recognition at the district competition. South Carolina Parks, Recreation & Tourism, Greenville's own Thomas Creek Brewery and the Greenville Literacy Association.

"The work that was done for SCPRT – a campaign called "Time To Thaw" that ran in the dead of winter in downtown Chicago – has really captured the attention of the judges in several creative awards competitions." said Associate Creative Director Stephen Childress. "Most important, the campaign generated tremendous results for our client. The awards are a nice pat on the back, but getting results is our job." A total of 26 professional awards were handed out to Greenville ad agencies, with bounce garnering 17 of those including the Best of Show Out of Home. And bounce is no stranger to the National ADDY Awards competition. Just last year, the agency received four National ADDYs for creative excellence; the most ever awarded to one South Carolina agency in a single year.
